I canceled my membership with them weeks ago. I am no longer functioning as a photography business, am retired, and have separate insurance for my equipment. I will not continue giving money to that organization and told them so, and told them why. Funny thing...I could not cancel my membership online, at all. I had to contact them, they emailed me 3 days later and told me to fill out a "cancellation form", and it would take 24-48 hours to cancel. Then, a week or so later, they sent me a "survey" wanting to know why I cancelled my membership. I'm old enough to not want that kind of foolishness in my life OR to pay for it.
I emailed PPA about canceling… it is funny how they make it simple to sign up online but impossible to cancel online. Seems that several companies got sued recently about something similar. Also resembles when I went to cancel the cable company… they kept me on the phone and I had to jump thru hoops to cancel. So thanks for posting your comment, it gives me a heads up what I get to look forward to.
I'm not sure I would use the word "obsessed." I mean, it doesn't consume my every waking hour nor infringe on my life to the point that I can't make a move without thinking about this. It definitely is not my sole focus.
I would suggest the word "concerned," instead. Maybe even "incredulous."
But you are correct that I have spoken about this repeatedly of late. Because it's happening in real time. And we human beings have short attention spans. So quite often, folks engaged in shenanigans wait it out, counting on those limited attention spans, right? Lay low, wait a couple weeks and everyone will move on to the NEXT thing. We see it happen everywhere, not just with PPA.
But I AM concerned. And incredulous. And because of that, yeah, I'm still banging the drum.
Well, he doesn't have anything to do with PPA, but I shall answer.
Like the word "obsessed," I probably wouldn't use the word "love" in regards to Musk. I mean, I love a lot of things, but celebrities and political figures don't make the cut.
Now, do I appreciate what he has done? Absolutely.

I’m not even a member of PPA and I’m incensed.
And as usual , well done you!
