What Does Russia Know that We Don't

The thing that keeps nagging at me, knocking at the back door of my brain, is Burisma. For those with short memories, Burisma is a scandal-ridden Ukrainian energy company for whom then VP Biden’s son Hunter sat on the board. He served from 2014-1209. 

Now, I get that people, including children of politicians, do business outside the United States. I get that. It doesn’t mean I like it, but it doesn’t necessarily equate to wrong doing.

No harm, no foul.

But in Hunter’s case, there was also NO experience. No expertise in gas or drilling. Nothing that would qualify a drug-addled politician’s son for such a position. I’m not sure he even showed up. (Yes, I said “drug addled.” Calm down, Karen. Even Hunter admitted in his book, “Beautiful Things,” that this was a heavy drug usage/prostitute time for him. ) I know he was paid anywhere from half a million to a million per year for his Burisma board position.

You don’t have to be Nancy Drew to draw the conclusion that Hunter was hired to a corrupt Ukrainian energy board because Hunter was connected. His only apparent qualification for the job was that his dad was the Vice President of the United States and involved in President Obama’s Ukraine policy.

Now, 2014 was another important year for Ukraine, because besides Hunter being paid handsomely for an unqualified Ukrainian energy board position,  2014 is also the year the UK launched a money laundering investigation against the founder of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky and Burisma Holdings.

But wait-there’s more. 2014 is also the year Putin decided to invade Ukraine and annex the Crimean Peninsula.

Okay. That’s a bit of a coincidence, but hey, coincidences happen and this might be one of them.
Or not. Let’s continue.

The investigations into Burisma continued: tax evasion to the tune of $70 million dollars, illegal natural resources extraction licenses, etc…
15 investigations in all.

So, Burisma’s owner and, by default, Burisma itself is dirty. Just corrupt through and through. And Hunter Biden is still sitting on its board.

(If you’re still with me at this point, thank you. I warned you—there’s a lot of knocking on my brain.)

At this point, there’s no connection to Joe Biden other than his son sitting on a corrupt Ukrainian energy board. I mean, it LOOKS bad, of course, but let’s continue to give Hunter and Joe the benefit of the doubt.

When asked about Hunter’s cushy Ukrainian energy gig, Joe Biden said at a fund raiser in Des Moines in September 2019, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings. Here’s what I know. TRUMP should be investigated. You should be looking at Trump. He’s doing this because he knows I”ll beat him like a drum.” (81 million votes. Joe Biden broke the record for the most Presidential votes EVER in the history of the United States. Yeah, that’s knocking around in my brain, too.)

See, Trump had been looking at this Biden-Ukraine connection for awhile and NOT giving the benefit of the doubt because of <cue the plot-twist music)

THE LAPTOP.

Ahh, the laptop that may or may not have been Hunters but definitely was; the same Hunter Biden laptop that has now been confirmed as authentic by a recent NYT article. In fact, the editor of the newspaper announced it with a giant headline apologizing for misleading the American public and calling it a Fake News Story.

JK. The beacon of journalistic integrity that is the NYT sort of slipped that in mid-paragraph.

Now, this laptop that Hunter Biden could not remember was his, contained emails from one Vadym Pozharskyi, a top exec with Burisma to Hunter, thanking him for…wait for it.. setting up the meeting with Hunter’s father (then Vice President Biden) in April 2015.

I guess Joe forgot about that.

Now, we were told over and over and over during the 2020 election that the whole “Hunter Biden Laptop Story” was a Russian plant; a fake scandal; misinformation. Folks putting two and two together were shamed for being conspiracy theorists and the media was more than happy to help with the shaming.

Now, if you are STILL with me, here is where we tie it all together.

Hunter joins Burisma in 2014. Biden is Vice President. Putin invades Ukraine and annexes Crimea in 2014. Trump becomes President. Things quiet down. Biden becomes President. Putin invades Ukraine again.

Now, Russia is corrupt and Ukraine right behind them. According to a Reuters article from June 13, 2020, Ukrainian officials said they were offered $5 million in bribes to end a probe into energy company Burisma’s founder, Mykola Zlochevsky. Burisma has been embroiled in scandal for years.

But leading up to the 2020 election, the media did their best to wipe the “Hunter Biden Laptop” stories from the news cycle. Again, the press worked over time assuring us these emails linking Joe Biden and Burisma executives were false.

(Note: Yeah, the Ukraine government is corrupt, but a corrupt government in no way diminishes the horror, devastation and carnage happening to innocent Ukrainians by Putin.)

But the NYT has now admitted what everyone else knew all along: the Hunter Biden emails on the Hunter Biden laptop are authentic.

Hunter was/is part of an incredibly corrupt Ukrainian energy company.
This was a period during which Hunter admitted he was fully immersed in crack and meth, expensive hotels and prostitutes. There is NO REASON to pay this guy to sit on your board other than to buy access and possibly protection from the American politician in charge of Ukraine policy: Joe Biden.

Now, I’m sure there are quite a few Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs more than happy to share their inside Biden-dealings to gain favor with Putin.

Is Russia sitting on a goldmine of compromising Biden-Ukraine info? Especially considering how hard the media has pushed the whole Trump-Russia narrative for four years.  I mean, think about this: Biden assumed the office of the Presidency and Putin almost immediately moved more than 100K troops to Ukraines border.

Coincidence? Yeah, not so sure anymore.

This entire Russia-Ukraine timeline has me wondering what Putin knows about Biden that WE don’t know about Biden.

And THAT is why I can’t silence the knocking in my brain.
